Quintin on Oprah: Part I

Exactly one week ago, I performed with a large group of Chicagoans for Oprah’s 24th Season Kickoff Party. For those of you who follow me on twitter, you got an exclusive and VERY ILLEGAL update on the rehearsal process (with twitpics to match). I intended to write about my experience…. but you know, it’s Oprah… and I live in Chicago…. and a brother needs to be able to find a job when he graduates in May…..

It was not a happy experience. And I feel that it is my duty to report about it, so I am currently consulting about 8 people before I post the final product. It is my goal, to provide the readers with as much detail as possible without getting myself blacklisted as a journalist. (I didn’t really know how popular I was online until I started getting emails and tweets from curious people in other parts of the world.)

You can expect this article to be one of the best that I have written in my young journalistic career. In the meantime, check out this video of me during the last minute dance rehearsals of the clearly disorganized event. Someone tweeted this to me.
